Tired of feeling tired?
It may be due to a lack of protein in your diet.
Proteins are made up of a variation of twenty types of amino acids. Eleven of these amino acids are made in the body, and the rest naturally occur in food. That is a pretty significant amount that relies on you to consume the right foods in order to extract these amino acids.
Without an adequate amount of protein, the body cannot properly build and repair muscles, organs and tissues, which keeps them from functioning properly, resulting in fatigue.
Especially if you are doing any type of exercise, you should be actively replenishing your body. It does not matter if you are training for the olympics, running around with your kids, or working your labor intensive job.
Always hungry?
Your body is trying to obtain energy from food by signaling your body to eat. When we experience hunger, though, we have a tendency to go for the chips, bread, or even fruit. However, this is the wrong food group. Protein takes longer to digest than carbohydrates and in return keeps you fuller for longer!
Adding in one of the protein boosters from our approved food list, like a handful of almonds, will help increase your energy and feel full for hours! While working with your coach, you will determine what sources of protein align best with your lifestyle as well as how much you should be consuming on a daily basis.
