If using fresh, raw crab meat, cook it thoroughly in a skillet on medium heat with enough water to stir (about 2 min).
If using canned, cooked crab meat, warm it in a skillet on medium heat if you intend to serve warm. If serving cold, just add crab to a bowl and mix with the other ingredients.
Remove skillet from heat and add salt, pepper, lemon juice, basil, scallions, and tarragon.
Mix thoroughly and serve.
Can be served hot, or chilled and served over a bed of lettuce.
