Made as instructed. Felt like 3 servings and quinoa needed a few extra minutes. Was a little nervous about breakfast quinoa but pleasantly surprised and satisfied for a while. Added blackberries and raspberries instead of strawberries.
The recipe calls for strawberries and blueberries, but then there’s no mention of them in the instructions. Can someone explain please?
Not a fan of quinoa but followed the recipe and it wasn’t bad.
Thanks to Dana for the idea of using the rice cooker. It did take close to 30 minutes to cook though for 4 servings. 2 cups Quinoa, 4 cups water, 4 pinches of salt, and I increased the cinnamon to almost a tablespoon. I sautéd the diced apples and coconut oil in the microwave in a covered dish so they would steam. No browning, but still good. Combined apples and quinoa and then added the honey. Stored it in individual servings in my silicone 1 1/2 cup storage. Stored in fridge. Added the fresh blueberries and strawberries after heating a serving. This is a great filling breakfast.
It came out better than I expected but the quinoa isn’t as moist as it appears in the picture.
