Ingredients

4 large organic tomatoes (or 6 organic roma tomatoes)

1 cup low sodium organic chicken broth (substitute low sodium organic vegetable broth)

6 oz organic tomato paste (Muir Glen is good. no sugar or salt added).

1 tbsp dried basil (substitute 2 tbsp fresh chopped basil)

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tbsp onion, minced

2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt

black pepper, to taste

cayenne powder, to taste
Directions
Chop or puree tomatoes in a food processor
Add all ingredients in a saucepan, and cook on medium low for 30 minutes to an hour
Add additional broth or water if needed for thinning to desired consistency
Recipe Note
This recipe is great as a vegetable choice, but can be placed over chicken, beef, or fish. Can be frozen for later use.
Can keep 4 to 5 days in the fridge.
