Lesson 6 - Gentle Backbends in Lunge
In today's lesson, we will focus on the neck and lunges.
During this session, we will explore lunging poses and gentle backbending. We will learn how to engage the core muscles to protect the lower back and create stability while moving through the poses. Remember to listen to your body and only go as far as feels comfortable for you. Take deep breaths as you move through the poses and focus on relaxing and lengthening the spine.
Key Lesson Concepts:
- Backbends help to open up the chest and shoulders.
- Gentle backbends improve posture and increase flexibility in the spine.
- Engage the core muscles to protect the lower back while practicing backbends.
- Listen to your body and only go as far as feels comfortable for you.
Important: if you have any lower back issues, please keep your back knee bent in the lunge and warrior 1 pose. Refrain from back-bending in this pose.
