Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus
- ¼ tsp Himalayan pink sea salt
- to taste ground black pepper
- 1 lb cod
- 1 Tbsp fresh basil Minced.
- 2 lemons 1 juiced, 1 sliced.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F.
- Use a large sheet of parchment paper or aluminum foil. If using aluminum foil, always use the dull side of the foil for food contact.
- Place asparagus spears in center of sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Arrange cod on top of asparagus.
- Pour lemon juice on top, arrange lemon slices on top of the cod, and sprinkle with fresh basil.
- Seal parchment or foil by tenting it over the cod and folding tightly on all sides.
- Bake for 10-20 minutes depending on thickness of fish. Fish will be flakey when done.
Alternative Preparation
- Try this recipe substituting red onions for asparagus and top with marinated tomatoes.

I loved its so simple and easy to make.
Easy to cook while catching up on Downtown Abbey. Mine was thick and became flaky after 20 min. I set an alarm and checked at 10 min, then again at 15min. Had a bite, can’t wait to dig in!
