2lbs lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion (diced)
1 medium green pepper (diced)
28oz canned diced tomatoes with juice (organic, unsalted)
2 celery stalks, chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups organic low sodium beef broth
16oz Homemade Healthy Salsa (can be found in recipe section)
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 large fresh tomato
2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Directions

In a nonstick pan, cook ground beef on medium heat and add half of the minced garlic. Browning a pound of ground beef on most stovetops should take approximately 7 to 10 minutes. It's important to continue stirring and breaking the pieces into the same size with the wooden spoon or heatproof spatula so the ground beef cooks evenly. (To eliminate excess fat, put cooked meat into a colander and rinse it with hot water.)
Add the remaining garlic, yellow onion, celery, and green pepper to the beef in the pan and cook for 7-10 minutes on medium heat (until onions are translucent)
Add tomatoes and broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, add salsa, chili powder, basil, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper, and simmer slowly until the liquid is reduced. Add water as needed to thin out chili if preferred
Serve with chopped green onion and tomato garnish. Add an extra kick with ground cayenne pepper to taste
