Betr Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 large organic tomatoes Or 6 organic Roma tomatoes.
  • 1 cup low sodium organic chicken broth Substitute low sodium organic vegetable broth.
  • 6 oz organic tomato paste Muir Glen is good. No sugar or salt added.
  • 1 Tbsp dried basil Substitute 2 Tbsp fresh chopped basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp onion Minced.
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic Minced.
  • ½ tsp Himalayan pink sea salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • to taste cayenne

Instructions

  • Chop or puree tomatoes in a food processor.
  • Add all ingredients in a saucepan, and cook on medium low for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Add additional broth or water if needed for thinning to desired consistency.

Notes

This recipe is great as a vegetable choice, but can be placed over chicken, beef, or fish. Can be frozen for later use.
