Breaking the Fast

Welcome to Day 1 of Level 1!

 While you’re sleeping, your body is in a state of replenishment and in a state of ease. This is the best opportunity for your body to convert potential energy, which is the fat around your midsection and your palm areas, into energy. It will do that if your body is in a state of ease, it does not want to be in a state of starvation. It can be in a slight fasting mode, which is why when you wake up in the morning we want to make sure you’re having a lot of water, weigh-in and get that weight over to your coach, make sure you’re taking your food pictures today, every single day right inside the app. And the reason why it’s so important is, we’re not so concerned about how much weight you’re losing on the program. It’s an indication of how your body’s reacting to this healthier way of life, these better choices. And as it turns out, your body can burn stored fat more efficiently. This means that your hunger should fade away, making it easier to move on. Having those fruit snacks throughout the day, that’s the constant conversion of fat to energy. These are all things that will play to your advantage when being able to stick with this program. So it’s not about skipping breakfast, it’s a little bit about delaying again, not breaking the fast letting your body stay in that fasting mode, a little bit longer to liberate more of that energy from your belly so you’re not not eating breakfast or delaying breakfast so long, you’re actually just giving your body a chance to use reserved food to feel your body during that time, particularly while you’re sleeping. Other important factors to help that help facilitate fat burning over the night, is to make sure you have your last meal fully digested a few hours before bedtime, and that your sleep is sound and uninterrupted I know initially that’s challenged for many of you, but you want to make sure that your sleep time is a few hours after you eat so eating late at night can actually work against you. If sleep patterns are regular, talk to your coach and maybe talk about taking that adrenal cocktail, which is the orange juice Himalayan sea salt and cream of tartar that may be nourished as adrenal glands if you’re feeling it’s coming from stress or anxiety.
