Gyro Burgers
Level 1
Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Lamb Level 2 only
- 1/2 Medium Onion minced
- 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tsp Dill
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 2 tbsp Coriander
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Cloves
- 1/2 tsp All Spice
- Salt and Pepper, to Taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Form into your preferred shape; burgers, meatballs, patties, etc.
- Refrigerate for at least two hours for the flavors to intensify. With so many spices, you really need the time to allow them all to mingle with one another.
- To cook, you can easily grill, broil or pan-sear for about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Best served with a hearty Greek-style salad composed of lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, lemon juice and dill.
