Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean grass fed organic ground beef
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs For those who are on a gluten-free diet, we recommend making crumbs using either crackers by Yehuda or Edward & Sons (both brands can be found at your local Whole Foods)
  • 4 Tbsp yellow onion Chopped.
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic Minced.
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp basil
  • ¼ tsp Himalayan pink sea salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cups Betr marinara

Instructions

  • Mix the bread crumbs with the ground beef, chopped onions, and seasonings.
  • Roll your mixture into 1-inch meatballs (approximately the size of a ping-pong ball).
  • Preheat your oven to 400° F and place your meatballs in a baking dish about 1/2 inch apart.
  • Coat the meatballs with the marinara and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

    Great. I doubled the recipe and substituted 1 lb of the ground beef with ground chicken. Hormone / antibody free beef is way more expensive than chicken. So with the combo of the two ground meats, it was still very good.

    I doubled this recipe with intentions of making a meatloaf. I didn’t even realize there is already a meatloaf recipe listed! It came out fine. I even made the BETR marinara to put on top, but I didn’t put it on the meatloaf while it baked; which I would do if I tried it again. I ate it as a meatloaf the first night and make it a salad topping for lunch the next day and the second dinner. I think I would just keep it as meatballs and try the actual meatloaf recipe next time.
