Servings: 6 Tacos
Ingredients
- 6 large greens leaves Leaf lettuce and Swiss chard work well.
Taco "Meat"
- 1 ½ to 2 cups raw walnuts Soak in water for 3 hours and then drain well.
- 2 tsp liquid amino acids
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ tsp Himalayan pink sea salt
- 1 dash ground black pepper
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder
Toppings - these are all optional depending on what you like on your taco.
- 1 large avocado (Level 2 only after successful reintroduction of avocado) sliced
- 1 medium tomato diced
- ½ bell pepper sliced
- ½ medium red or yellow onion diced
- ½ medium fresh jalapeno diced
Instructions
- Combine walnuts, aminos, oil, and spices in a food processor and pulse until the "meat" mixture is well-combined but is still chunky, resembling taco meat.
- Scoop two large spoonfuls down the center of each leafy green.
- Add desired toppings, wrap the leaf around the filling, and pin closed with a toothpick.
