Steps To Create Your Own Meal Plan

When it comes to a weekly meal plan, it can often feel more tedious and time consuming than it’s worth. However, with a little practice, not only can meal planning be simple but also save time, reduce food waste, and save you money! Follow these 3 steps, and you will be planning your Level 1 like a pro.

Step 1

Choose 5 Recipes for Dinner

The toughest part of planning is deciding what meals to cook for the week. You can make this as complex or simple as you want. For the best results on the protocol, we suggest mixing up your proteins each day. Here’s an example:

Beef- Marinated Flank Steak
Chicken – Chicken Cacciatore
Seafood – Shrimp and Asparagus
Chicken – Fajitas
Beef – Chili

Step 2

Pick 2 Kinds of Fruit for Snacks

Your morning and afternoon snacks will be a piece of fruit and possibly a protein if needed. To save, just pick two for the week and switch them up each day.

Fruit Snacks
Clementines – 1 bag
Apples – 1 bag

Step 3

Fill Lunches with Leftovers and Salad

A great way to make lunches easy is by making enough at dinner to have leftovers. If you don’t have enough for a whole meal (or just don’t like leftovers), you can supplement with a salad or raw veggies.

Done! All that’s left is to write your grocery list and head to the store. This plan can also be flexible. If you decide on Tuesday that you want Fajitas instead of Cacciatore, then go for it! With this method, you can save yourself hours of time per week deciding what to eat each day and making multiple trips to the grocery stores.
